River Walks

Our River Walks are a recreational, playful and powerful initiative to connect with the water sources and rivers of each community.

It is the way in which we can relate to the water in mind, body and emotion. The walks integrate the experience of profound photography to create a bond between the photographer and the River Spirit.

To join the riverbed and be part of the next walks…

May, 2024: Walking Rivers, Machangara River.
Walking Rivers is an event that takes place once a year in various cities of the world to put rivers on the map. In 2024, the River Spirit joined the Amaruna del Río collective to create this walk that included 5km along the banks of the Machangara River, not only to put it on the map, but to encourage its rescue and support the protection action presented on May 28, 2024 to the Constitutional Court of Ecuador.
An initiative of CIREF Fluvial.

March, 2024: Reflections of the Forest
The River Spirit joined Paola Moscoso from Voces del Bosque to walk and connect deeply with the El Pahuma, cloud-forest reserve, in the Andean Choco of Quito. This walk of listening and observation allowed participants to connect in an integral way with the forest, its inhabitants, and of course, the spirit of its waterfalls.
